About The Event

A Pine Plains Bicentennial Event.

OUR TOWN is a three-act play created by American playwright Thornton Wilder in 1938. Wilder was awarded the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for this play. Described by Edward Albee as "the greatest American play ever written", it presents the fictional American town of Grover's Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens. It is an essential play about how we must embrace and appreciate the value of life itself.

Directed by Patrick Trettenero, The Stissing Center President of the Board of Directors.
