Bruce Molsky will make his third appearance at The Stissing Center…this time alone on guitar performing music from his latest CD, Everywhere You Go.
This new album is a riveting departure from a decades-long career dominated by Appalachian-style fiddle. “Everywhere You Go,” his first solo guitar album, combines musical influences from across the globe to create a project sure to cement Molsky’s reputation as one of the great multi-instrumentalists of our time. His creativity shines through in the dynamic song choices and stunning instrumentation, communicating a soul-touching sincerity and deep reverence for his many musical sources and inspirations which include African, South American, Nordic, Celtic, and American blues traditions. Despite being born out of a time of widespread isolation, this unique addition to Bruce Molsky’s catalog weaves together threads from many nations, bringing a sense of renewed hope and possibility.
“After a long career that stands as a fiddle masterclass, comes a beautiful eclectic album of song and six-string wizardry, a rare treat indeed.” – John Paul Jones
“Bruce Molsky is a guiding light of musical integrity and fearlessness. This new album is delightful.” – Chris Eldridge
“Unique, while reminiscent of the best of Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Joseph Spence, and others who deeply explore musical traditions on six strings. This brilliant set of songs and instrumentals [is] a stunning delight.” – Happy Traum
“Bruce Molsky’s guitar music is truly out of this world great. The musical narrative is deeply compelling, with incredible variety, and imaginative orchestration.” – Julian Lage
“Bruce Molsky has long been one of my musical heroes. Bruce is simply one of the greatest musicians there is, period.” – Sarah Jarosz
“Happy to be listening to this beautiful music right now. Close up. Intimate. What a pleasure. No pretense. No affectation. Just music. He always inspires me. I’m gonna go practice now!” – Bill Frisell
