A Day in the Country for Rhoda!
We’ve rented out The Stissing Center for a privately-organized fundraising event and screening of the film, An Uncommon Woman.
Saturday, September 24, 2022 • 4:00 – 6:30 PM
Join the friends, the colleagues, the students, the composers, the artists and the filmmakers… All those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with one of the twentieth century’s most revered, impactful, creative and glass-ceiling-busting artists, Rhoda Levine.
Come to A DAY IN THE COUNTRY FOR RHODA!, presented in the newly restored Hudson Valley landmark, The Stissing Center.
It’s the final opportunity for you to play a vital role in the completion of the documentary, An Uncommon Woman, named after a composition by composer, and dear friend of Rhoda’s, Joan Tower: Fanfare For The Uncommon Woman.
Join us for…
- A private screening of a 21-minute work-in-progress film of scenes from the documentary;
- Musical performances of works Rhoda championed, and reminiscences by those close to her;
- A filmed message from Rhoda, and others.
