Suffocation Theory is a dramatized version of Rabe’s short story originally published in the New Yorker in 2020, about one man’s personal experience of the world in crisis. “Something is up,” he says. “That’s what I think. Something is up.”
This is the eighth offering in the Local Produce Readers’ Theatre series presented by The Stissing Center and Oblong Books.

We require all attendees (aged 5 and older), staff, crew, and volunteers to present proof of vaccination for all in-person events. Mask wearing is now optional. We request that children under the age of 5 wear a mask. Proof can include the CDC vaccination card, a photo/copy of the CDC vaccination card, or New York State’s Excelsior Pass or Excelsior Pass Plus.
